NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand's South Island is all about the breath-taking landscapes and its nature. It’s hard to describe but it could be a mixture of Iceland, Scandinavia and Switzerland with tropical vegetation.

New Zealand is the right country for all those who are looking for a quiet place and who want to enjoy time on their own. In particular with a touring bike as means of transport this freedom and feeling of connection to nature can be experienced at its best. In summer the moderate climate perfectly suits a bike trip and camping.
Flying to New Zealand is quite inexpensive and thanks to the good exchange rate of the NZ dollar, currently visiting this amazing country isn't just reserved for wealthy people. Chris has lived in New Zealand for 4 years, was running "Cycle Touring Academy" which is the predecessor of "SWISS TOURER" and has a tremendous experience that can help to make most of your budget and your time on a bicycle holiday.
Besides cycling there are plenty of activities that are promoted such as water & extreme sports, hiking, hot springs and much more. New Zealand seems to be custom made for outdoors and adventure activities.
Another positive aspect is that there isn't any language barrier. It’s good to know that NZ is a well organized country with medical facilities and western standards. Kiwis are friendly, helpful and honest people with a good sense of humor ready to help make your trip as enjoyable as possible.
